Welcome to the Wolverhampton & District Chess League website.

Javascript DHTML Drop Down Menu Powered by dhtml-menu-builder.com

The domain name www.wdclchess.org.uk became operational as of May 27 2011. Development began then and the various sections have taken shape. This site will gradually evolve and be enhanced over time as more content becomes available.

Intuitive navigational menus are incorporated with comprehensive WDCL content and a new games section. Summer and Dudley league sections aren't hosted on this WDCL website but can be accessed via onsite links.

The old WDCL website was an excellent, popular, invaluable resource and reference point for many years. A tribute to the previous WDCL webmaster Mike Rees.

We hope this new website will be as popular, successful and in time as valuable as our predecessor's. With support from WDCL and its members we can build a new website for the future.

We'd like to thank the WDCL league and its members for appointing us as joint webmasters and granting us the privelige and opportunity to build this new WDCL website. Yours Sincerely your new joint webmasters Paul Walters and Andrew McCumiskey.   webmasters@wdclchess.org.uk

NEW Grades (Half yearly standard)

Well the long anticipated new ECF half yearly grades were published 28/01/2012.. There are a multitude of ECF enhancements I personally was amazed and impressed by. I also know the WDCL particularly Derek Laight have worked hard during December to ensure WDCL games from September to December 31 would be accounted for in the latest ECF Grading list. Thank you, Derek and all officials.
