Re-established in 1895 Wolverhampton Chess Club has had a longstanding presence within Wolverhampton. We have a wide variety of members spanning all levels. Our club provides opportunities for playing chess socially and competitively. All levels of chess player very welcome. Wolverhampton Chess Club run teams in the Birmingham, Cannock, Dudley and Wolverhampton leagues. A popular internal club championship is run yearly as well as a number of differing tournaments to suit all tastes. As well as league team opportunities there are team and individual trophy competitions, and chances of selection to play for county teams. Wolverhampton Chess Club also participate in outdoor events to promote chess and have been exhibitors at large outdoor events such as the Wolverhampton Show 2010.
