Staffs Congress result

The Staffordshire Chess Congress was held over the weekend 12/13th April at Bloxwich Leisure Centre, Walsall. The Premier resulted in a tie on 4/5 between three players: IM Geoffrey Lawton of Birmingham, making a return to chess after an absence

End of 2013/14 season

Pittaway Final Kid 4¾ – 5½ Wol

In a very close final at Mercia, Wolverhampton retained the Pittaway Cup for the 5th time and have now won 4 out of the last 6 Cups. Kidderminster with a handicap and outgrading Wolverhampton (155 to 157) failed to win
