Teams of eight from Lichfield, Wolverhampton, Warley Quinborne and Mercia played a mixed games final. A brilliant win on top board by Simon Dighton (2143) over star junior Tom Junde He (2300) clinched the title from the home favourites. This year was the 80th Anniversary of the formation of the league and the event did not disappoint. For the first time the top 8 games were shown on the live boards and they can be viewed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wdclchess.org.uk\/blog\/sample-page\/games\/\">here<\/a>.
