	Andrew P. Davies was born in March 1960 at New Cross Hospital, which was one of the two main hospitals in Wolverhampton at the time. He was the youngest of a family of six. For many years he suffered with his health and with physical problems and pain related to the debilitating disease HSP from which he suffered. Sadly I have to announce to you all the passing of one of Staffordshire Chess’s most loyal stalwarts – Andrew Davies.
